The original rental agreement is extensive. This page keeps the core conditions visible in a cleaner format while preserving the main operating terms currently published on moveitcarrental.com.
Clause 1
Return conditions
The renter must return the Jeep on the agreed date and at the agreed location in the same condition it was received, excluding normal wear and tear. Returning it elsewhere or late may lead to continuing rent charges and a US$ 75 per day surcharge.
Clause 2
Who may drive
The Jeep may not be driven by anyone under 25, anyone without a valid driver's license, anyone not listed on the rental contract, or anyone physically or mentally unfit to drive.
Clause 4
Care and fines
The renter must handle the Jeep carefully and remains liable for fines, administration costs, and financial consequences from road traffic or other legal violations.
Clause 6
Breakdown or seizure
Any loss, damage, defect, or seizure must be reported to Move It immediately. If further use could worsen the issue or reduce road safety, the Jeep may not be used until Move It gives permission.
Clause 7
Accident procedure
In the event of an accident, the renter must contact Move It, notify Curacao Road Service or police, complete the damage form, collect details from involved parties and witnesses, and never admit guilt on the spot.
Clause 13
What must be paid
The renter must pay for the rental period, any insurance policies and surcharges, fuel differences, and all additional costs resulting from the rental agreement or applicable law.
Clause 14
Security and card authorization
Move It may request payment security or credit card authorization before or during the rental. Currency conversion is handled on the basis of the rate fixed by Move It.
Clause 16
Termination rights
Move It may terminate the rental agreement and retake possession of the vehicle without court intervention if obligations are not met, the renter is abroad, the Jeep is seized, or relevant circumstances were unknown at the start of the rental.
Clause 20
Personal data
Move It stores and uses personal data for carrying out the agreement. The renter may request access, correction, or deletion of that data in accordance with legal requirements.
Clause 25
Tires
Flat tires or tire damage are always at the renter's expense and are not covered by all-risk insurance. Tire replacement must be done with the owner.
Clause 26
Soft top rules
Removable plastic roof parts may be detached, but loss or damage to those parts is not covered. The roof can be folded, but it must always be closed when the Jeep is parked. Water damage from not closing the roof is charged to the renter.
Clause 27
Seatbelt limits
4-door Jeeps are equipped with 5 seatbelts and 2-door Jeeps with 2 seatbelts. Local law prohibits carrying more people than seatbelts.
Clause 28
Arrival payment
Payment is due upon arrival when signing the rental agreement. Move It accepts US dollars, debit cards, and checks. Credit cards are accepted with a 5.25% bank surcharge.
